How to raise a complaint
Write to the address above, or use the built-in route where one exists. Every institution page carries a "Report an error or request removal" link at the foot of its "About this page" section, and every review carries a report control. Those go into the same queue and are the fastest path.
Please include what you are complaining about and where it is (a link is ideal), why you believe it should be corrected or removed, and how we can reach you. If you represent an institution, say so and write from an official address so we can verify you quickly.
Timelines
We aim to acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours of receiving it, and to resolve it within 15 days. Complaints concerning content that exposes a person, or content claimed to be impersonation, are treated as urgent.
Where we are directed by a court of competent jurisdiction or by an appropriate government agency to remove content, we act within the period the order specifies.
What we will and will not do
We will correct or remove information that is inaccurate. We will remove a review that names an individual, alleges a crime, or is not a genuine first-hand account. We will remove an institution page on request from an authorised representative of that institution. All of this is free, and always will be — we do not charge an institution to correct, manage, or remove its own page.
We will not remove a review simply because it is unfavourable. Honest first-hand criticism of an institution is opinion, and hosting it is the reason this platform exists. Claimed pages carry a public right of reply, which is the remedy we offer instead.
